Who lies in Springwood Burial Park?

More than 1,000 people found their last resting place in Springwood Burial Park in Roanoke's Lincoln Terrace neighborhood between 1937 and 1979. Weeds have since overtaken the private graveyard for blacks, but Roanoker Robert Bird is leading a charge to recapture Springwood. He has amassed information for 289 gravesites so far.
