Roanoke County police have released photos of a man they believe was involved in a residential burglary that was reported in Bent Mountain last week.

A handgun, a laptop computer, jewelry and credit cards were stolen sometime before 4:30 p.m. July 28 from a house on Green Hollow Drive, which is a small street stemming off Bent Mountain Road, said Roanoke County police Lt. Chuck Mason.

The surveillance photos show that at 8 p.m. that day, a man wearing a beige baseball cap and a white T-shirt used one of the credit cards at a convenience store 20 miles away at Lafayette Boulevard Northwest, Mason said.

Police are looking for the man as a person of interest. Anyone with information on him can call Detective Dan Walters at 777-8637 or 562-3268.
