Fall at Cascades injures climber
A man fell about 20 feet at the Cascades in Giles County on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Parsa Milanizadeh of Springfield was trying to climb behind the popular 69-foot-high waterfall about 3:30 p.m., said Giles County Sheriff Morgan Millirons. His age is unknown, Millirons said.
Emergency crews responded to the call and took Milanizadeh to Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, where he received treatment for a broken wrist and multiple cuts on his chin, leg and body, Millirons said..
"This kind of thing happens more than we would like," he said.
