Three women were robbed at gunpoint inside a Southeast Roanoke parking garage early Sunday, police said.

The women told police a man who appeared to be in his 20s approached them inside the garage in the first block of Campbell Avenue Southeast, brandished a pistol and demanded money, according to a police statement. The man took purses and wallets from two women and ran, the statement said. The women called the police just after 1 a.m.

The robber was described by police as black, about 5 feet 7 inches and 170 pounds, with braided hair. He was wearing a hat, red shirt, black jacket and dark jeans.
