Area H1N1 clinics to offer vaccinations
The Alleghany/Roanoke City Health Districts announced Wednesday it will hold a total of five 2009 H1N1 flu vaccination clinics today and Friday throughout the districts.
An appointment is not required.
Vaccinations against H1N1, also referred to as swine flu, are targeted toward groups considered especially at risk for getting the disease or suffering related complications. At-risk groups include pregnant women, children, youth and young adults, emergency responders, medical providers and people with asthma or other underlying medical conditions.
Vaccinations are free.
