Two Roanoke College students are in custody after an assault that reportedly occurred on campus Friday.
Nicholas Galloway, 19, a freshman from Wilmington, Del., and Kenneth Tisch, 21, a sophomore from Haymarket, have both been charged with misdemeanor sexual battery and with felony abduction, according to the Salem Police Department.
According to police, an 18-year-old female Roanoke College student told investigators the incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, a dormitory in the 200 block of College Lane.
She told police she was in a dorm room with two male students when she was held against her will and assaulted. She said the two men held her down on a bed, then restrained her with handcuffs. She said they removed some of her clothes and fondled her. The woman did not require medical treatment, police said.
The two suspects were arrested early Saturday on campus and on Monday afternoon were being held in the Roanoke County-Salem Jail awaiting arraignment.
