A Bedford County man was arrested Saturday in the shooting of another man during an argument, authorities said in a release.

The victim, William Spangler, sought treatment at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for a gunshot wound to his foot.

The Bedford County Sheriff's Office said that Timothy W. Dodd shot Spangler while at Dodd's house in the 1000 block of Tiger Drive in Goodview.

Dodd has been charged with malicious wounding and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Dodd is being held at the Bedford Adult Detention Center without bond.
