The reward for information leading to the return of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington -- or the conviction of those responsible for her disappearance -- could reach $150,000, if rock band Metallica carries through with a plan to kick in $50,000, according to the Web site findmorgan.com.

The reward currently offered by the Jefferson Area Crime Stoppers stands at $100,000, and the band is working out the details of adding another $50,000, according to authorities.

Harrington, 20, of Roanoke County, vanished during an Oct. 17 concert by Metallica at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.

Harrington has blond hair and blue eyes, stands 5-foot-6 and weighs 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black miniskirt and black T-shirt with black tights and black boots.

According to police, she left her friends to go a restroom and ended up outside the arena, which has a no readmittance policy. She phoned her friends and told them she would either meet them after the show or find a way home. Her purse and cellphone were found in a parking lot the next day.
