ROANOKE COUNTY

U.S. 11 PAVEMENT MARKING

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on U.S. 11 while crews mark pavement.

COLONIAL AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS

Colonial Avenue is closed to through traffic in Southwest Roanoke County from Vest Drive to Hazel Drive, and the Colonial Avenue intersection with Penn Forest Boulevard through Aug. 27. Crews are making several improvements, including widening travel lanes, adjusting curves, paving shoulders and constructing a roundabout.

INTERSTATE 81

MOWING

Drivers should expect lane closings and workers or equipment along Interstate 81 between mile markers 105 and 174 in Botetourt, Montgomery and Roanoke counties.

GUARDRAIL REPAIRS

Drivers should expect daytime left-lane closings on Interstate 81 south between mile markers 138 and 140 in Roanoke County today.

BEDFORD COUNTY

VIRGINIA 24 PATCHING

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on Virginia 24 near Morgans Mill Road in the Smith Mountain Lake area while crews patch pavement.

PIPE REPLACEMENT

Part of Penns Mill Road between Virginia 638 and Virginia 613 will be closed until late July while crews replace a pipe.

BOTETOURT COUNTY

PAVING

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on parts of U.S. 220 while crews work in the following areas: from Mount Moriah Road to Catawba Creek Road; from Old Fincastle Road to Catawba Creek Road; and from Catawba Road to Glebe Road.

HENRY COUNTY

BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

Phospo Springs Road will be closed to through traffic under the Main Street bridge in Ridgeway while crews set the bridge beams Monday. The road is expected to be opened to through traffic July 1.
