ROANOKE COUNTY

COLONIAL AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS

Colonial Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Vest and Hazel drives in Southwest Roanoke County from 10 a.m. Tuesday through Aug. 27. Crews will upgrade the intersections at Vest and Hazel drives as part of improvements to Colonial Avenue from Electric Road to Penn Forest Boulevard.

UTILITY WORK

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on U.S. 220 from the Roanoke city limits to the Franklin County line while crews test a new water line.

DRAINAGE WORK

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on South Mountain Drive near Starkey Road while crews perform drainage work.

BEDFORD COUNTY

ROAD WIDENING

The Virginia Department of Transportation will change traffic patterns Wednesday on Rustic Village Road and Ambassador Drive off U.S. 221. The one lane of traffic that is open will be shifted onto a new roadway. Drivers should watch for flaggers.

BOTETOURT COUNTY

ROAD PAVING

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on U.S. 220 at the following locations: between Mount Moriah Road and Catawba Creek Road; Old Fincastle Road and Catawba Creek Road; and Catawba Creek Road and Glebe Road.

SHOULDER WORK

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on U.S. 220 North between Catawba Road and Glebe Road while crews make shoulder repairs.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

SLOPE REPAIRS

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on U.S. 220 at the Grassy Hill Road intersection while crews repair the slope.

BRIDGE REPAIRS

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on Fairystone Road between Henry Road and Dry Hill Road while crews repair the bridge deck on Fairystone Road.

DITCH CLEANING

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings while crews clean ditches in the following locations: Brooks Mill Road, Three Oaks Road and Webster Road.

HENRY COUNTY

PAVEMENT MARKING

Drivers should expect weekday lane closings on Virginia 57 while crews mark the pavement.
