SAVE THE DATE: Open Studios of Roanoke

Enter the inner sanctum of the artist during the ninth annual Open Studios of Roanoke -- featuring 27 artists at their homes and studios. Artists will be on hand to discuss and show their work. See how it is done and discuss the whys of art with those who do it.
The tour will include a wide range of fine arts, such as sculpture, painting, collage, jewelry and ceramics. Artwork will be offered for sale at each location. The tour is free, with light refreshments available, and children are strongly encouraged to attend.
Brochures with maps are available at the Market Gallery, Studios on the Square, Gallery 108, Taubman Museum of Art, Southern Graphics and other retailers in the Roanoke Valley, as well as online at www.openstudiosofroanoke.com. The Web site also lists the featured artists and shows a sample of their work.
With two dates to choose from, visitors can enjoy a full weekend of art. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 12 to 5 p.m.
