Roanoke County authorities investigate robbery at Valero
Police are looking for a man who reportedly robbed a Roanoke County business at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Jeff Herrick, the incident occurred about 4 p.m. in the 5600 block of Williamson Road. He said a man entered the Valero store on that street, displayed a handgun, demanded cash from the clerk, then fled on foot toward Happy's Flea Market with an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect is described by police as a white male between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, wearing a green-and-brown hunting jacket over a dark hooded sweatshirt and an orange T-shirt.
No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
