Roanoke County man robbed at gunpoint

Roanoke County police are looking for a man who robbed a tenant at gunpoint in an apartment complex laundry room.

According to Detective Sgt. Jeff Herrick, the incident occurred just after 2 p.m. Friday in the 4300 block of Garst Mill Road. A man was in a laundry room when he was approached by a man who displayed a gun and then fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspect has been described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 30. He stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall and has tattoos on his left forearm. His hair is close-cropped and he has a short mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and baggy blue jeans.
