INTERSTATE 81
BRIDGE REPAIRS
Southbound Interstate 81 has been reduced to one lane at mile marker 97 in Pulaski County so crews can perform bridge repairs. The speed limit is reduced to 55 mph. Repairs are expected to be completed in mid-November.
ROANOKE
BRANDON AVENUE BRIDGE WORK
Work is under way to replace the surface of the Brandon Avenue bridge over U.S. 220. Traffic on Brandon between Franklin Road and Colonial Avenue is reduced to one lane in each direction, and a concrete barrier will be installed.
Motorists should use caution in the work zone and expect changing traffic patterns. The sidewalk on the south side of the bridge is expected to reopen this week.
Estimated completion is mid-November.
BEDFORD COUNTY
BRIDGE REPAIRS
Crews will repair the Virginia 602 (Hunting Creek Road) bridge located 0.95 miles from Virginia 122. Virginia 602 will be closed to through traffic on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
