Intruder leaves pornography taped in house
Roanoke County police are investigating a bizarre break-in in which the intruder left vulgar notes and dozens of pornographic images inside the victim's home.
Police were called to the North County home on Sept. 9 after the resident returned home to find at least 14 hand-written notes and 64 obscene and pornographic pictures taped up inside, according to a search warrant filed in Roanoke County Circuit Court.
The resident also noticed that a photo of her teenage daughter was missing.
Investigators found a cigarette butt at the home and fingerprints on the tape.
On Sept. 12, police searched the home of a man who has a business association with the resident. The man lives about a block away from the victim and was seen by neighbors entering the victim's home, the search warrant says.
Police took a Hooters calendar and eight pieces of pornographic magazines, among other items, according to the search warrant. They also took fingerprints from the man.
Roanoke County police Lt. Chuck Mason said Monday that no arrests have been made.
