Man injured when car leaves roadway, overturns and comes to rest in creek

Two men from Willis were in a car crash in western Floyd County on Friday night, according to state police.

Trooper R.A. McClanahan said that Ronald Kincaid, 68, was driving a 1990 Oldsmobile south on Indian Valley Road near Horse Ridge Road when he crashed at 10:30 p.m.

He lost control of the vehicle on the curb and ran off the road. The vehicle overturned and then went into the creek below.

Kincaid was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. His nephew, Charles Kincaid, 23, was also in the car but was not injured.

Charges are pending and it appears that both men were wearing their seat belts, McClanahan said.
