16-year-old driver crashes car into Salem house's porch
A teenager crashed a car into a house in Salem on Sunday evening, Salem police said.
Sgt. T.W. Thomas said the 16-year-old from Salem was driving a 2002 Honda when she crashed in the 900 block of Logan Street at 6:15 p.m. The car hit the porch area of a house and did not cause significant damage.
The driver was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Thomas said.
Nobody else was injured and the driver did have a license.
The accident is under investigation and charges are pending, Thomas said.
