Bedford Museum
"Bedford's Bufords: An Exploration of Montvale and Villamont," an exhibit featuring displays of items from the Grand Old Lady of the Stage, Mrs. Thomas Whiffen. Also featured are the Beale Treasure, S. S. Lynn, a beautiful Cable Company organ and more from the history of the original lands of the Buford Family holdings. Through Oct. 31. Ongoing exhibits include "WWII," "WWI," "Civil War," "Native American History" and "Black History."

The Blue Ridge Institute and Museum of Ferrum College
"Crooked Road Royalty" and "Musical Styles Along the Crooked Road." "Crooked Road Royalty" highlights the careers of the Hill Billies, the Stoneman Family, the Carter Family and the Stanley Brothers. "Musical Styles Along the Crooked Road" presents a variety of roots music from western Virginia including fiddle-and-banjo tunes, bluegrass, ballads, blues and gospel. Showing through February 2009.

"The Cure for Love"

"The Who's Tommy"
