Holding with tradition, this year's Roanoke Times Music for Americans will feature American eagles -- the Eagles' music that is. The concert is set to begin at 8 p.m. with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and guest musicians.

The theme for the event will be the Eagles, featuring classic rock songs and favorite patriotic tunes to carry you through the evening.

Pick your picnic spot and visit the food vendors. Take some time to enjoy the Family Fun Zone organized by the city of Roanoke. Enjoy the music as you await the 25-minute fireworks show, set to begin about 9:30 p.m.

The Fourth of July celebration has been a staple of the community for more than 30 years. Admission is free.
