Roanoke police believe an unidentified man may have information that will help their investigation of a fatal hit-and-run in Northeast Roanoke on May 2.

Bernard Abram, 28, of Roanoke was struck and killed by a car shortly before 11 p.m. at the intersection of Williamson Road and Sycamore Avenue. The driver fled the scene.

Just prior to that incident, police said, Abram was at the Citgo convenience store in the 1700 block of Williamson Road.

According to spokeswoman Aisha Johnson, Abram entered the store with a man he may have known. Police believe the man may have additional information that could be useful.

Police did not release a physical description but did distribute photographs from the store's security cameras.
