Blaze damages attic in vacant Roanoke house
A fire erupted early Sunday morning in a vacant Roanoke house.
Roanoke Fire-EMS Department spokeswoman Tiffany Bradbury said firefighters responded to a call shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Rorer Avenue Southwest
They found heavy smoke coming from the attic. The fire was found to have started in the attic and was contained there, Bradbury said. It was under control within 20 minutes after crews arrived.
No cause or damage estimates have been given, and the fire is under investigation.
