What's your poison? Virginia's favorite liquors
Virginians spent over $600 million on distilled spirits in 2007. That's more than 8.7 million gallons of liquor purchased, according to the Virginia Department of Alcohol Beverage Control. The top 50 selling liquors by dollars accounted for $345 million. In the two bubble graphs below, see the 2007 sales by dollars in sales, and the top 2006 liquors by volume in gallons. The bigger the bubble, the more popular the liquor.
