ROANOKE COUNTY
ROAD INSPECTION
Weather permitting, crews will inspect U.S. 220 bridges over the Norfolk and Southern railroad tracks near the Franklin County line. The inspections will cause various lane closures on northbound U.S. 220 on Thursday and on southbound U.S. 220 on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The Virginia 639 bridge over the Roanoke River near the Montgomery County line will be inspected Friday.
BEDFORD COUNTY
PIPE INSTALLATION
Crews will install pipe along Virginia 122 in the Big Island area between Powells School Road and Hunting Creek Road. There will be lane closures today through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
SLOPE REPAIR
Possible lane closures may result from slope repair on Virginia 122 in the Smith Mountain Lake area during daylight hours on weekdays.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
PIPE AND SHOULDER WORK
Work on shoulders or slope repairs may cause periodic lane closures on Virginia 40 during daylight hours on weekdays.
SHOULDER WORK
Work to repair shoulders along Virginia 122 may cause shoulder closures during daylight hours on weekdays.
BRIDGE MAINTENANCE
Maintenance work on two bridges on U.S. 220 may cause lane closures between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays. Work will be performed on northbound U.S. 220 bridge over the Pigg River and the northbound bridge over Virginia 40.
PIPE MAINTENANCE
Work on drainage pipes along Virginia 619 (Sontag Road) may cause periodic lane closures between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays.
BRIDGE WORK
Work to repair bridges along Virginia 630 (Airport Road) and Virginia 775 (Iron Ridge Road) may cause periodic lane closures between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays.
POTHOLE PATCHING
Pothole patching may cause periodic lane closures between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays on Virginia 616 (Scruggs Road), Virginia 681 (Coopers Cove Road) and Virginia 834 (Brooks Mill Road).
