Enchanted Eve 2007

This is Roanoke County's alcohol-free New Year's Eve celebration with activities and entertainment for all ages and fireworks at midnight. Highlights include an adults-only casino, square dancing, massages, video games and a midnight ball drop. Check the Web site for the complete schedule. To participate, you'll need an Enchanted Eve button. In advance: $7, adults; $3, ages 3-12; free, ages 3 and younger. Dances of Universal Peace for the New Year

Tune into the spirit of peace and begin the new year on a hopeful and joyous note with dances of moving meditation that use music, simple movements and sacred phrases from different spiritual traditions. The gala features two live bands, two ballrooms, dinner, dancing, a balloon drop to bring in the new year and a midnight champagne toast.
