Car crash kills Boones Mill teen
A Boones Mill teen died in a car wreck Tuesday in Rocky Mount, a Virginia State Police spokesman said.
Bryan P. White Jr., 16, was a passenger in a 2007 Ford Mustang that crashed on Virginia 919, near business U.S. 220, said state police spokesman Sgt. Bob Carpentieri.
The Mustang was traveling west about 2:35 p.m. when the driver, Joseph T. Rogers, 18, of Hardy lost control and crossed into the eastbound lanes, Carpentieri said.
The Mustang sideswiped an eastbound car, ran off the road, hit several trees and overturned, partially ejecting White.
White was not wearing a seat belt.
Carpentieri did not have information on the conditions of the other people involved in the crash.
State police are investigating.
