Radford seeks volunteers for advisory boards
The city of Radford has several openings on its boards and commissions.
Interested residents should submit a resume and a brief letter of interest by Dec. 14 to: City of Radford, Attn: City Clerk, 619 Second St., Radford VA 24141.
The open positions are:
-- Peppers Ferry Wastewater Treatment Authority, one, four-year appointment ending Dec. 31, 2013
-- Department of Social Services board of directors, one, four-year appointment ending Dec. 31, 2013
-- New River Resource Authority, one, four-year appointment ending Dec. 31, 2013
-- Investment Advisory Commission, two, two-year appointments ending Dec. 31, 2011
-- City/University Joint Advisory Commission, one person needed to fill an unexpired term until June 30
-- Highlanders Festival, five, one-year appointments ending Dec. 31, 2010
-- Tourism Commission, nine, two-year appointments ending Dec. 31, 2011
