Blacksburg police seek robbery suspects
Blacksburg police are investigating the armed robbery of a business late Monday night.
A man and a woman, both wearing jeans, sweatshirts and black ski masks, went inside a business in the 800 block of University City Boulevard just after 11 p.m., Blacksburg police Lt. Joe Davis said in a news release.
Davis declined to name the business, but an alert sent out by Virginia Tech police shortly after the robbery identified it as Firehouse Pizza.
The man carried a small black handgun and demanded money, Davis said. The man and woman left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was hurt, Davis said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Blacksburg police at 961-1150 or the police tip line at 961-1819.

Museum's holiday ornament on sale
This year's Blacksburg Museum holiday ornament is now on sale.
The $15 ornament shows the Huckleberry Train Station. It is available at the Blacksburg Municipal Building, the Lyric Theatre, the downtown UPS Store and the Tech Bookstore on Main Street, according to a news release from the town.
The train station was on Main Street at the site of the current municipal building. The train ran from Cambria to Blacksburg from 1904 until the 1960s.
The Norfolk & Western station depicted on the ornament was built in 1913, replacing an earlier station where the library is now. The station was razed in March 1967.
A limited number of the previous two ornaments are also available for the same price. The 2008 ornament featured the Blacksburg Motor Company, and the 2007 ornament featured the Odd Fellows Hall. The 2006 ornament featuring the Alexander Black House is sold out, but the museum plans to reissue it in the future.
