Applicants from District F are needed for the advisory board to the Parks and Recreation Department in developing leisure activities and programs for residents in the county.

There is one, three-year term open on the board.

The meetings are at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at the Montgomery County Government Center in Christiansburg.

Applicants are also sought for the towing advisory board to make recommendations to the board of supervisors on issues relating to rates charged, the regulations for towing operators and other duties that may be assigned by the board of supervisors.

There is one, four-year vacancy on the board, which meets at 3 p.m. on the first Wednesday of January, April, July and October.

County residents who are registered voters and interested in serving should submit a letter of intent or an application, along with a short resume, to: County Administrator Craig Meadows, 755 Roanoke St., Suite 2E, Christiansburg, VA 24073 or by e-mail to kiserjw@montgomerycountyva.gov.
