Free transportation available to Brew Do
The Brew Do festival will be at the First & Main shopping center from noon to 6 p.m.
Thirteen breweries from Virginia and beyond will offer samples of dozens of beers, ales, lagers and stouts. Throughout the day, entertainment will be provided by Laura Beth and the Clover Hollow Boys, Mountain Legend Express and Gov't Plant.
Here are some of the transit transportation options that day:
From Roanoke take the SmartWay Bus. Get off the bus in downtown Blacksburg in front of the Cabo Fish Taco restaurant. Walk two blocks up South Main Street to the Blacksburg Transit stop in front of the town Municipal Building at 300 S. Main St. Take the transit bus for free to the festival site. The transit will pick up passengers every 30 minutes. When boarding, tell the operator your destination is the First & Main shopping center.
Kent Square to First & Main. Park in the garage and then catch the bus outside the town Municipal Building. The stop is directly in front of the building facing Main Street. The transit will pick up passengers every 30 minutes.
From First & Main back to Kent Square. Catch the bus on Main Street at any stop across from the First & Main shopping center heading downtown. Arrive at the stop 30 minutes after the hour or at the top of the hour and the bus will be there shortly.
For those who want to drive to the festival, on-site parking will be available, as well as overflow parking across the street at the Virginia Tech Surplus building in Blacksburg Square.
