An AARP forum for Blacksburg Town Council candidates will take place today.

The program begins at noon at the Blacksburg Community Center at 725 Patrick Henry Drive.

Four at-large seats are up for grabs with 10 candidates on the Nov. 3 ballot.

Running are incumbent Susan Anderson, Bryce Carter, Frank Lau, Cecile Newcomb, Robert "Tom" Rogers, Michael Sutphin, John Bush, Krisha Chachra, Greg Fansler and Paul Lancaster, who stopped actively campaigning for the seat in September to dedicate time to his health. Lancaster's name will still appear on the ballot.

Incumbent Mayor Ron Rordam is running unopposed.

Reception planned Wednesday for 3 town council candidates

A reception is set for Wednesday for Blacksburg Town Council candidates Susan Anderson, John Bush and Cecile Newcomb.

The reception is from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Miller Off Main Street Galleries at 211 Wilson Ave. in Blacksburg.

Wine, cheese and desserts will be served.
