Woman hit on Virginia Tech campus
A woman walking in a crosswalk was struck by a car at the entrance to a Virginia Tech parking lot Monday but wasn't seriously hurt, police said.
The incident happened about 9:30 a.m. but wasn't reported until more than two hours later, Tech police Chief Wendell Flinchum said.
The woman reported that she was struck by a four-door car driven by a young woman at the intersection of the Derring parking lot's entrance and West Campus Drive, Flinchum said. She didn't need medical treatment.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Tech police at 231-6411.
