Radford woman charged in stabbing

A Radford woman has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding in connection with a knife attack on another woman, police said.

Radford police Detective Chris Caldwell said the victim, whom he declined to name, was stabbed once each in the face, arm and back Saturday night at an apartment complex on Robey Street, on the east side of the city.

None of the wounds appeared to be life-threatening, Caldwell said.

Laquintauna Marshe Travis, 20, was charged. She is being held without bond in the New River Valley Regional Jail.

Caldwell said Travis and the woman have been involved in an ongoing dispute that allegedly led to Saturday night's altercation. Travis was not injured, he said.
