A Blacksburg mobile home was destroyed in a fire early Wednesday morning, but no one was hurt.

Fire crews were called to Oak Forest Trailer Park, which is off Merrimac Road, just before 2:30 a.m. They arrived to find the trailer at Lot 14 fully engulfed in fire, Blacksburg Fire Chief Keith Bolte said.

He said no one was at home when the fire started.

The home was destroyed, and damage is estimated at $8,000, Bolte said.

Firefighters were on the scene until about 5 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
