Retro to Go schedules ribbon-cutting for Friday
Main Street Radford will hold a ribbon cutting Friday for Retro to Go, a store selling furniture, lighting, art and pottery.
The event will be at 5:30 p.m. at 237 W. Main St. in Radford.
Pulaski hospital hosts program for seniors
As part of its 2008 series of free educational programs featuring orthopedic experts, HCA Southwest Virginia and Pulaski Community Hospital will host "Preventing Orthopedic Injuries with Stretching" at 3 p.m. Thursday.
The program, led by orthopedic surgeon Yogesh Chand, will take place at the Pulaski Senior Center.

Main Street Radford has named PR STURGILL FINE JEWELRY its Business of the Month for May. The store is at 1037 E. Main St.
Allstate Insurance Co. has recognized JOHN BEASLEY in Blacksburg with the Allstate Regional Champion's award. The award honors Beasley for outstanding achievement and dedication in assisting customers.
Warm Hearth Village in Blacksburg recently recognized seven employees with Shining Star Awards for the first quarter of 2008. Those honored were PIYALO ADOM, ANN COOK, SUSAN HALE, RAY JOURNELL, LINDA KIRKNER, NICOLE LONG and CHRIS MEANS.
