Qualtrax Inc. releases new software version
Qualtrax Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of CCS-Inc. in Christiansburg, has released a new version of compliance software.
Called Qualtrax 4.0, the software aims to automate and simplify document management, workflow tracking and business and manufacturing process control.
"Version 4.0 offers new functionality and has great growth potential because of the new architecture," CCS-Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Marty Muscatello said in a news release. "With organizations everywhere facing more stringent quality and safety regulations, Qualtrax is poised to help make compliance with these regulations part of a successful business strategy."
Lynchburg company affiliates with Tech's CRC
Advanced Manufacturing Technology Inc. of Lynchburg has become an affiliate of The Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center in Blacksburg, offering its services in supply, design industrialization and product launch.
As CRC affiliates, businesses like Advanced Manufacturing Technology, have business relationships with the center and often provide tenants with specials and discounts.
Names and Changes
The Blue Ridge Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America has elected a new slate of officers for 2008. AMY WHITTAKER of the American Red Cross was named president. Vistar Eye Center's BETH KOLNOK was named president-elect. LAURA NEFF-HENDERSON from North Cross school will serve as secretary, and THOMAS BECHER of the Thomas Becher Agency will act as treasurer. In addition, MICHELLE BRAUNS of the Free Clinic of New River Valley was named assembly delegate, and DEAN BROWELL (Neathawk Debuque & Packett), MELINDA MAYO (city of Roanoke), SHELLY WHITAKER (Advance Auto Parts) and ALLISON MOORE (ITT Night Vision) were named directors at large.
MATTHEW MOSTELLER of Gay and Neel's Christiansburg office, has passed the Fundamentals of Surveying Examination administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying in Richmond and is now a surveyor in-training.
BT'S has been named Main Street Radford's January Business of the Month. Located at 218 Tyler Ave., BT's celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
