Giles County sheriff releases more details on Monday shooting
Giles County authorities have released the name of a man shot in Pembroke Monday and the name of a suspect in the case.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday, a caller to 911 reported a shooting at a residence on Smith Street in Pembroke, Giles County Sheriff Morgan Millirons said in an emailed statement this morning.
Charles Bee Garvin had been shot in the face and was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Millirons said.
Walter Lee Jones Jr., 46, of Pembroke, was being held on charges of attempted murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, Millirons said.
No other information was available this morning.
