StellarOne Bank operations return to normal
Operations at StellarOne Bank have returned to normal after outages lasting about five hours disrupted service.
Spokeswoman Linda Caldwell said a system outage disrupted normal operations at 8:45 a.m. Technicians worked to resolve it at the company’s Christiansburg headquarters, she said. A faulty switch was found and replaced about 2 p.m.
During the outage, customers may have trouble reaching the bank by phone and completing online transactions due to an equipment outage at the bank.
The bank remained open, ATMs were working and customers could complete teller transactions, Caldwell said.
