A Radford man was found dead in the New River on Saturday afternoon, the Pulaski County sheriff said.

Sheriff Jim Davis said two men were fishing in the river near Bisset Park when they saw a body floating in the water about 2:15 p.m.

The men called 911. Police and rescue officials immediately went to that area of the river and began searching. The body was found in a short amount of time, Davis said.

The man has been identified as Justin Edward Roach, 32. Roach was last seen about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the Pulaski County area, Davis said.

There were no signs of foul play, Davis said, but Roach's body has been taken to the medical examiner's for an autopsy to determine his cause of death.
