The Indiana Fever picked former William Fleming standout Khadijah Whittington late in the second round of the WNBA draft Wednesday.

The N.C. State forward was taken with the 26th overall pick in the three-round draft, which was held in Florida. Whittington, on hand for the draft, hugged Wolfpack coach Kay Yow after she was selected.

Virginia point guard Sharnee Zoll was taken by the L.A. Sparks with the first pick of the third round, No. 29 overall.
