Committee plans design contest
The Old Blacksburg Middle School Transition Committee asked two members — Blacksburg Town Manager Marc Verniel and Montgomery County Administrator Clay Goodman — on Wednesday to plan a national design contest to gather ideas for redevelopment of the old school site. The contest was suggested by the Blacksburg Townscape Committee, which sponsored a similar contest in 1992 on remodeling of the Blacksburg Library.
The committee meets again Jan. 17 at the Montgomery County Government Center.
