Police on Monday released the identity of the man who was struck and killed by a train Saturday night in Montgomery County.
Anthony Wayne Jones, 42, of Christiansburg was found dead by law enforcement and rescue squad officials on the railroad tracks near Switchback Road , which is south of Peppers Ferry Road, between Christiansburg and Radford, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
The Norfolk Southern Police Department reported that a train struck a man about 5:15 p.m., according to the sheriff's office.
Foul play does not appear to be involved, the sheriff's office has reported.
