Phone and Internet services have been restored to Roanoke County schools, according to a system spokesman.
Chuck Lionberger, Roanoke County schools spokesman, said the outage that occurred this morning has been resolved. He said earlier today that the issue was with Verizon, the school system's provider, and was affecting others besides the division.
At that time the division was working with the provider to correct the problem.
During the outage, emergency systems were operating normally and schools maintained a normal schedule, Lionberger said.
