A Bedford County judge has ordered that the retrial of Wesley Earnest be moved to Amherst County. Bedford County Circuit Judge James Updike, in an order signed Tuesday, also ordered that potential jurors for the murder trial be brought in from Nelson County.

Earnest, a former Bedford County school administrator, was convicted in April of murdering his estranged wife, Jocelyn Earnest. However, Updike threw out the conviction after discovering that jurors had seen material that had not been introduced into evidence.

The second trial has been scheduled for Nov. 8.
