A Roanoke County man is dead after a crashing a motorcycle Saturday night.
 
Police say Curtis Hackett, 21, struck a utility pole on West Main Street in Salem near Fort Lewis Boulevard at about 10:40 p.m. Hackett was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lt. Joe Mills of the Salem Police Department.
 
No other vehicles were involved.
 
The wreck remains under investigation and police believe speed was a factor, Mills said.
