Man arrested for groping and trespassing incidents in Salem

Jason Dwayne King
Salem police said no one was injured in either incident.
Jason Dwayne King, 23, was taken into custody around 8 a.m., according to Lt. Mike Green.
Green said King reportedly went onto the Roanoke College campus about 6:55 a.m., called a woman over to his vehicle and then groped her buttocks.
"There's no indication he tried to do anything other than that," Green said.
According to Green, King then drove to the senior's parking lot at Salem High School. At about 7:45 a.m., King reportedly beckoned two teenaged female students to his vehicle and then tried and failed to touch them.
King has been charged with misdemeanor sexual battery for the Roanoke College incident. Green said that although King did not make contact with the high school students "because he made the overture to do so, we charged him with two counts of assault and battery, one for each girl."
He has also been charged with trespassing at the high school.
King is being held in the Roanoke County-Salem Jail on $2,500 bond.
Green said King did not have any weapons on him and said there is no indication he was trying to abduct anyone.
A parent of a Salem High School student said he received a city alert regarding the incident at about 10:30 a.m.
