A flash flood warning has been issued for Roanoke, Roanoke County, Salem, southwestern Botetourt County and central Franklin County, according to the National Weather Service.

The warning is in effect until 1:30 p.m.

An earlier flash flood warning for eastern Floyd County and western Franklin County is still in effect until 12:45 p.m.

The weather service reports that rainfall of up to three inches is possible.
