Henry County deputies arrest murder suspect

Norman is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Officers were called to the 7000 block of Axton Road in the Sandy Level area just after 10 p.m., according to a news release. Deputies found the body of Lewis Anthony Dillard Jr., 18, lying on a gravel driveway. He had been shot several times, the news release said.
Investigators believe the shooting may have been drug-related.
On Friday afternoon, after speaking by telephone with investigators, Jerel Maceo Norman, 21, turned himself in at the Henry County magistrate’s office, according to Lt. Ricky Walker.
Norman, who lives on Axton Road near where the shooting occurred, is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
