A tractor-trailer fire has closed a portion of Electric Road, according to Roanoke County emergency dispatch.

One lane of northbound traffic on Electric Road just north of Colonial Avenue has reopened while crews work to clear the fire in a tanker, dispatch said.

All lanes of Electric Road had been closed previously.

It was not immediately clear what the tanker was hauling.
