Police: Two killed in fiery I-81 crash in Botetourt County
Two people were killed in a wreck that left a car in flames on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County, police said.
An adult and a child were killed in a wreck that happened at about 3 p.m. on I-81 North in Botetourt County between Buchanan and Natural Bridge, according to State Police First Sgt. John Noel.
Police have not identified the two people, pending confirmation from the medical examiner's office, Noel said.
Traffic was backed up on I-81 until about 9 p.m., according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
