A wreck in Franklin County that blocked traffic in northbound U.S. 220 has been cleared, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

One northbound lane was reported blocked on U.S. 220 near Wirtz Road at about 9: 15 a.m. while crews cleared a wreck, VDOT said.

Motorists were advised to expect delays in that area, VDOT said.
